541 - Migrating to Xcodegen

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://nsscreencast.com/episodes/541-xcodegen

Hi, thanks for the video!
Have you considered using Tuist for the same purpose? I’m just wondering which tool to use for a pretty big project with multiple developers. I kinda like the Swift statically typed syntax that Tuist provides.

I do like Tuist. My only hesitation with recommending it requires a bit more team buy-in and a change in how you do your work (tuist focus, for instance). With Xcodegen, you could get away with some developers not knowing or caring about it if you continued to check in the project file to source control.

Also, I think Xcodegen might be easier to adapt to existing projects which you can use to create your xcodegen template. Tuist is a bit more opinionated IIRC.
